Swimming Pool

OUR STAFF

Great swim schools begin with great teachers. Our staff are passionate about what they do and know what it takes to give the gift of swimming to everyone. Our staff are Austswim qualified, hold current CPR and WWC licenses. All staff have completed COVID-19-Infection Control training and we are currently working towards 100% Child Safety Certification.

We pride ourselves on our low staff turnover and we endeavour to provide you and your child with consistency of service.

Many of our staff have been competitive swimmers themselves and are passionate about sharing their knowledge.

Our senior teaching staff have been teaching at Swimsafe Swim Schools for many years, some for over a decade!

Antony Edwards heads a highly experience team of teachers at Swimsafe Murrumbeena. He started his teaching career over 30 years ago at what was, until recently, our sister school  in Mentone and he has owned, operated and taught at Swimsafe Murrumbeena since its formation in 1998. He is also the Head Coach of Cheltenham Swimming Club where he has been training junior and national level squads for over 10 years. He has helped many children achieve their swimming goals, whether it be competitive or for fitness. His greatest coaching achievements to date have been coaching to gold at State Championships and making finals at National Championships.

Antony is passionate about teaching and offers a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

Helen Law  has been part of the Swimsafe Murrumbeena family for over 22 years with all 5 of her children having learnt to swim at the centre. She became a member of the teaching team 17 years ago and is most passionate about infant and pre-school learn to swim levels (8 months to 5 years). Helen is a kind and patient teacher who respects each individual child and their needs. She believes the learn to swim process, and water safety, should be educational and fun for each child.
